‘Tea at the Table’ - Digital illustration created in Procreate.

This was a piece I created for Valentines Day, celebrating the bond of two characters who have grown up together and are so close as friends that they are practically sisters. Celebrating the love that they have for each other with this piece, depicting a nice gossip session over tea and cake. I thought to add the INDICATION of text and what they might be saying, so that the viewer could fill in their own ideas of what conversation may be taking place, and so that the spread is not limited to one language.

I tried to push for intricacy with the details and linework in this piece, both with their outfits and with the foodstuff, so that there was more for the eye to explore and absorb. I think I achieved this, and I am very excited to continue developing this aspect of more intricate detailing and object-inclusion in my future works
